​Season & Registration Notables- POPWARNER

​

  • Fall 2023 Tackle Football & Cheer: Registration is open February 2023. Dues are $295 for football and $400 for Tiny-Mite, Junior Peewee, and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders. Finally our Mascot Cheerleaders fee is $200. Payment plans are available with a minimum of $100 due at registration. Please note an additional $30 volunteer opt out fee applies to cover volunteer hours normally completed by parents.

  • Football Practice starts , June 1st. Practice will be held Monday - Thursday from 6:15 - 8:15 pm until Labor Day. . Then practices will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the same time slots.

  • Yearround cheer starts May 1st 2023 . Practice will be held on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:15pm. In June they will be joined by the Fall Cheerleaders and practice will continue to meet on the same days - Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.

Students must carry a minimum GPA. The season starts with a Jamboree on TBA followed by an 8 game schedule beginning TBA. Qualifying teams advance to playoffs. Click here for the League Calendar. See Registration Instructions below.

  • Spring 2023 Flag Football: Affiliated with the Wesley Chapel Coyotes Football & Cheer program through WCAA District Park, games are Friday nights. Evaluations are March 12th with games starting March 31st  through May.
     

  • FALL 2023 Flag Football: Registration now OPEN!!

  • League Divisions are age-based, unlimited weight with 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U teams. Age is determined by the child's age as of July 31 of the current year for both Fall and Spring. If you don't sign up until January for the Spring league, you will use players age as of July 31 of the prior year. The child's profile entered on the WCAA site (step #2 above) should route accordingly.

Registration Instructions


FOLLOW PRECISELY AS WCAA PARK WEBSITE IS OUTDATED. NEW POP WARNER FORMS BELOW

  1. Click this REGISTRATION LINK directing you to the WCAA website.

  2. Once there, you will likely not see a Football or Coyote link from their page as it's outdated (they run it, we don't). For New players, once on the WCAA website, use the Register link at the top of the page to first create a profile for your child to be associated with the WCAA Park. For Returning players, login with your existing credentials.

  3. Only after registering with the WCAA Park will you then be able to click the "Programs Available" link which will display options based on your child's profile and current season.

  4. Select the WCAA Coyotes Tackle Football, Flag Football or Cheer program. Note Divisions are age-based, unlimited weight.

  5. Sign the electronic consent forms, enter your preferred jersey number and choose a payment option.

  6. Form and document summary with directions below. Print, complete and bring to the Registrar.

Birth Certificate
Pop Warner requires that a member of our governing league (FYD Pop Warner) verify all participant birth certificates. FYD staff must have the original or a certified copy (with raised seal) to look at--photo copies will NOT be allowed. Once they verify the authenticity of the birth certificate, they will stamp a copy provided by the Coyotes that will added to the Team Book. After FYD has stamped the copy, they original will be returned to you. We do not want to be responsible for holding on to your important documents for very long, so we will try to have a member of FYD there at a registration session, so your birth certificate can be returned immediately. 

The parent name listed on the Player Contract MUST EXACTLY MATCH a parent's name on the athlete's birth certificate. If you have legal guardianship of the athlete, you will need to provide a copy of the court document granting guardianship as this must be in the Team book as required by FYD. 

Participant Form
Download above and bring to the Registrar enabling the athlete to participate. Tips:
- Make sure the participant's name exactly matches their birth certificate.
- Make sure the Name of Parent/Guardian exactly matches their birth certificate or guardianship documentation.
- The Parent/Guardian who's name is on the contract and signs the contract, should be the same person that completes and signs all the rest of the documents.

Physical Form
Download above as the medical professional MUST complete and sign the Pop Warner form. As we transition to digital records, no other substitute forms will be accepted. Bring to the Registrar enabling the athlete to participate.

Page 1 - To Be Completed by Parent
- Make sure the participant's name exactly matches their birth certificate.
- The parent/guardian who signs the medical form, needs to be the same person on the birth certificate and who signed the player contract.
- Your insurance information is REQUIRED. The Coyotes have secondary insurance for all our athletes, but you must carry primary insurance.

Page 2 - To Be Completed by a Licensed Medical Professional
You will need to have Pre-participation Physical Evaluation (PPE) provided by a Licensed State Examiner (e.g. medical doctor, nurse practitioner, etc.). You can likely obtain a physical from your athlete's pediatrician or primary care physician. There are also numerous other clinics that can provide this service for you (e.g. CVS MinuteClinic, MedExpress, etc.).

Report Card
Bring to the Registrar enabling the athlete to participate. 
Spring Tackle Football we will need a copy of the participant's 2021-2022 Final Report Card.
Summer 7v7 Flag Football, Fall Tackle Football and Cheer/Dance will need to provide the 2022-2023 Final Report Card when it becomes available.

The copy must be clear and legible (no photographs). 

The following information must be shown on the report card:
- School Name
- Participant's Name
- School Year
- Student's Grade Level (e.g. 1st Grade, 4th Grade, etc.)
- All 4 academic quarters or 2 semesters.

Students in Kindergarten are exempt from the scholastic requirement.
If your athlete was homeschooled, please fill print and complete the 2023 Home School Form.
